Yes the cost around here (central Scotland) the lessons vary from £20to £30 a lesson with some driving schools only taking you if you have two lessons a week.
It cost me the best part of 1000 pounds to learn including test fees and I passed both tests first time.
I wasn’t put off because I wanted that licence. I am glad I have it now.
I passed my test 4 months ago, it was very expensive at over £20 per lesson but I would do it again as it gives you so much more freedom and better career options
Hmm, well its not put me off because I asked for driving lessons for my 17th last year. It’s £19 for 50 mins but my dad was the one that chose the company so he could have chosen a less expensive one.
I know it’s awful to sponge off my parents in this way, but let’s face it – I’m not gonna be able to do it much longer and I wouldn’t be able to afford it on my own anytime in the near future!
Yes I’ve definitely been putting off driving for awhile because of the ridiculous cost of lessons. I will start learning to drive soon but I’m dreading the total cost of it all.

nope.. because the longer you’ll leave it , the more money it costs..
when I did mine they were £13.. that is hhm 16 years ago..
so the cost is normally relative to the time, and the "true" value of money.. back then cars were worth a lot more money etc.
so yer, better to get it out of the way, before the cost goes up and they introduce more parts to the driving test.

The high cost of everything does not seem to put anyone off in the UK.
I don’t know anyone who has got rid of their car due to petrol going up & up,
The government knows this & just keep put prices up & up, because we just keep on paying, eh?
